When should you use your headlights?

Using headlights from sunset to sunrise and during low visibility conditions is essential for safe driving. Headlights are not just for nighttime driving; they play a crucial role in ensuring that you can see the road ahead clearly and that other drivers can see you as well. Low visibility conditions can include weather situations such as rain, fog, snow, or even heavy overcast days where daylight isn’t sufficient for visibility. This practice enhances safety for all road users, as it significantly reduces the risk of accidents caused by decreased visibility.

In contrast, using headlights only at night fails to address the need for visibility during dawn and dusk or in various challenging weather conditions.
